Characterized as dry deciduous reserves of wildlife, the national park is bestowed with dhok trees in abundance along with several other species of flora. The wild grounds of Ranthambore is also famed for its age-old Banyan trees as the wildlife reserves is studded with several ancient banyan trees along with neem, babul, Khajur, Kadam, Nerale, etc. the most fascinating of these plant species is the flower of Dhak Tree which is referred as the “flame of the forest” which blooms very rare in such parched region.
Fauna:
The national park of the royal state of Rajasthan is famed as the proud abode of Royal Bengal Tigers. Best time to visit Ranthambore
Although the best sighting can be done during the hot months of March that lasted till June as glimpses of animals can easily be caught for they come out for water. But these months are too hot and might make your safari uncomfortable as it is too hot and dry then.
Therefore it is suggested to visit the national park in cooler months that lasts from October to March.
How to reach Ranthambore National Park?
The nearest airport to reach the park is Jaipur Airport and you can then drive your way or even board the train to Sawai Madhopur which is the nearest railway station. The national park is well accessible by road as well
